About Naglets

It all began as a fun venture back in 2005. I have owned my horse Rupert – Prince Him – for almost 7 years now. He’s a 15-year-old Belgium blood. Together we have attempted most things and now concentrate on dressage, with numerous hunter trials and Riding Club activities in between shows.

Naglets evolved from my own personal quest to find a treat other than beloved mints (tut tut !!) – a treat that was preferably natural and above all healthy. With little available on the market at the time and accompanied with a very fussy horse, I started to experiment. After months of trial and error the hard work has finally paid off!! With Rupert and his friends at the yard having enjoyed these treats as much as they did, we thought we would go to the public with our treats, so your horse or pony can also enjoy them.

So a very warm welcome to Naglets, home to THE totally natural, healthy horse treat.

We know we cannot change the world by ourselves, but we can impact the equine world in a more positive way. We as a manufacturer chose to be responsible and committed in producing a quality product for you and your animal(s). You could choose another product who are out for the bottom line - making its product full of less healthy ingredients which holds negative detriments to the animal, the user, and the environment. Its up to you!!

We are proud to display ingredients labels on our products which state nothing but what is contained in the treat - naturally derived from fruits, vegetables and healthy herbs with health beneficial ingredients. Remember, if we can't eat it, why should our animals eat it ?

By mixing sumptuous fruits, vegetables and infusing wonderful smelling herbs and spices producing the best tasting treat on the market isn't easy, but we still do it.

We naturally preserve our product through the baking process, which means we are offering a safer product to be bacteria free.

Currently available in 24 very different, tasty varieties we also produce novelty and seasonal items.

The Basic Ingredients of a Naglet

Bran – Good for the digestive system and fibre
Limestone – A Natural source of calcium which is very important for the healthy growth of bones, teeth and hooves
Cider Vinegar – A natural pro-biotic; also restores appetite and helps to improve the condition of the equines coat
Rock Salt – Aids electrolyte balance, helping to replace the salts lost when a horse is at work
Chaff – assists the treat to be chewed and not placed on the back of the horses back teeth and cause tooth decay

The Goodness of Going Healthy

The herbs we incorporate within our treats have a range of uses and benefits, however
I hasten to add that we lay NO claim that our treats will cure any
